Participation in ESEA training activities and courses can be funded by the Erasmus+ Programme (Key Action 1, Mobility project for school education staff). The deadline for application is February 2, 2017 at 12:00 (noon), Brussels time.

The European Science Education Academy (ESEA) has just released the upcoming courses for the new year. We are happy to be able to present to you an even wider array of exciting courses with experts from all over Europe that will help and support you in creating more exciting science lessons. 

A legacy of the United Nations-sanctioned International Year of Light 2015 (IYL20015), the Global Science Opera (GSO) is a global creative education initiative made possible through digital interactions and live-streaming. It's the first opera initiative in history which is created, produced and performed as a global community.

The Dark Skies Rangers drawing contest invites students think outside the box and use their creativity to communicate causes and consequences of light pollution, raise awareness of the importance of using outdoor lighting that are energy efficient and that direct the light downward, contribute to the reduction of light pollution and the preservation of the night sky, promote interest in Astronomy in fellow students and public.

NASA’s Commercial Crew Program is holding an artwork contest through November 30 for children 4 to 12 years old. The artwork will be used to create a 2017 calendar, which has a different space-related theme for each month.

Anyone between the ages of 8 and 18 years is invited to create an original short comic based on one of the Space Scoop stories.

Do you know of any young women in high school who could use a network of intelligent, motivated women in STEM to be a part of? If they have access to the internet, a passion for any branch of science, and are looking for mentorship, the 1000 Girls, 1000 Futures program wants to meet them! This program was designed to match girls in high school with a passion for STEM with a female mentor for a yearlong partnership.

World Space Week (WSW) is an international celebration of space and its impact on our lives taking place annually from 4-10 October.
